Split Heart Candle Holders

Two halves of one heart.

A pair of solid hardwood blocks, one eight inches tall and one six, each with half a heart cut through it. Stand them side by side and the heart closes. Each one holds a tealight.

Apart, they’re two candle holders with an odd curve in them. That’s deliberate — people buy these as a pair and then separate them.

Honest notes

• Tealights only. Not tapers, not votives, not pillars. The recess is cut for a standard tealight in its metal cup.
• The heart only closes from the front, with the two set together. From the side they read as two blocks with curves cut in them.
• It’s wood and it’s an open flame. Keep it away from anything that catches, and don’t leave a candle burning unattended — the same rule as any candle, but worth saying out loud on a wooden one.
• Oak takes stain and we offer four finishes. Maple, walnut and mahogany are finished natural, because they’re better that way.
• Sold as a set of two. There’s no point in one.
