How long it takes

Everything leaves our shop within ten business days. Cutting boards, side tables, consoles, coffee tables — all of it. Add carrier transit on top, which is typically two to five business days within the United States and longer internationally.

For context: most makers of solid hardwood furniture quote eight to twelve weeks. We're not faster because we cut corners. We're faster because we're small and we're not managing a queue of two hundred orders.

If we're going to be late, we email you before the date passes, not after.

Preorders, when we're backed up

Sometimes the shop fills up and ten days isn't honest any more. When that happens we don't quietly let the clock run — we switch the item to preorder and put the date on the button before you buy. It reads "Preorder — expected to ship no later than [date]", and that date is the one we hold ourselves to.

No later than means no later than. If we beat it, your piece arrives early. If we're going to miss it, you hear from us before the date passes, and you can cancel for a full refund at that point regardless of how far along we are.

You're charged when you order, the same as anything else. We'd rather tell you the real date up front than take your money against a ten-day promise we already know we can't keep.

What it costs

Shipping is calculated by weight at checkout. You see the exact cost before you pay, and it's what the carrier charges us — we don't pad it, and there's no handling fee on top.

Quoted weights include the box and packing material, so what you're shown is what the parcel actually weighs.

Where we ship

Worldwide. Wherever you are, the rate you're quoted at checkout is the carrier's actual price for a parcel that weight going to that address.

Outside the United States, import duties, customs charges and local sales taxes are yours and are not included in what you pay us. We can't tell you in advance what your country will charge — that's between you and your customs authority — but we'd rather say so plainly here than let it arrive as a surprise at your door.

We declare every parcel accurately. We won't mark an order as a gift or under-declare its value to reduce your duty, and we'd ask you not to request it.

Tracking

You get a tracking number by email the day your piece ships. If it hasn't moved in three days, tell us and we'll chase the carrier — you shouldn't have to.

When it arrives

Larger pieces are delivered to your door, not left at the curb.

Inspect everything the day it arrives and note any damage on the delivery paperwork before the driver leaves. That paperwork is what makes a damage claim work.
