Shipping and returns

How fast

Everything leaves our shop within ten business days. Cutting boards, side tables, consoles, coffee tables — all of it. Add carrier transit, which is typically two to five business days in the US and longer internationally.

Most makers of solid hardwood furniture quote eight to twelve weeks. We're not faster because we cut corners. We're faster because we're small, and we're not managing a queue of two hundred orders.

If we're going to be late, you hear from us before the date passes, not after.

When we're backed up

Sometimes the shop fills and ten days stops being honest. When that happens the button changes to Preorder — expected to ship no later than [date], and that date is the one we hold ourselves to.

No later than means no later than. If we're going to miss it, we'll tell you before the date passes and you can cancel for a full refund, however far along we are.

What shipping costs

Calculated by weight at checkout. You see the exact figure before you pay, and it's what the carrier charges us — we don't pad it and there's no handling fee. The weights include the box and packing, so what you're quoted is what the parcel really weighs.

We ship worldwide. Outside the US, import duties and local taxes are yours and aren't included in what you pay us — we can't predict what your country will charge, but we'd rather say so here than let it turn up at your door. We declare every parcel accurately and we won't mark an order as a gift to reduce your duty.

Larger pieces come to your door, not the curb.

Changing your mind

Cancel any time before we start cutting and you get everything back. Emailmurphyandformsupport@gmail.com.

Once we've started, we ask only for the cost of the wood — your species, in your size, already bought and cut for you. We'll tell you the figure before we charge it. No restocking fee, no cancellation penalty.

Sending something back

Thirty days from delivery. Return it in original condition and we refund the full purchase price within five business days of it reaching us.

Return shipping is yours, and we're not going to dress that up. Freight on furniture is genuinely expensive, and burying it in every price would mean the person who keeps their table pays for the one who sends theirs back.

Engraved boards and custom sizes can't be returned — a board with your name on it can't be sold to anyone else. Check your spelling before you order; we copy what you type, exactly as you type it. That doesn't apply if it arrives damaged or we made it wrong. Final sale means you changed your mind, not that you're stuck with our mistake.

If it arrives damaged

Inspect it the day it lands. Note any damage on the delivery paperwork before the driver leaves, photograph it, and email us within 24 hours. We replace it or refund it and we cover the shipping. Keep the packaging until it's sorted — carriers ask for it.

If it isn't what the page said

Tell us and we'll make it right, shipping on us. We wrote the description. If it was wrong, that's ours to fix.
