The base is heavier than a table this size needs, and the joints where the top meets it are left where you can see them. That’s the whole character: modern proportions, nothing hidden.

Honest notes
The joinery is visible by intent. If you want a table where you can’t see how it was put together, this is the wrong one.
It’s an end table. A lamp and a drink. The large will take a stack of books; neither will take a person.
Give it two weeks before you’re rough with it. The oil finish takes fourteen days to cure — keep it dry and out of direct sun until then.
Oak takes stain and we offer four finishes. Maple and walnut are finished natural.
