The board you actually reach for. Solid hardwood, edge grain, finished food safe, and engraved with whatever you want on it — or nothing at all.
Maple is pale and hard. It takes a beating and resists knife marks better than anything else we work with. Walnut is dark and a little softer, which makes it gentler on knife edges and, to most eyes, better looking. Neither is the wrong answer. They're different trees.
Small is the everyday board — light enough to leave on the counter and use without thinking about it. Large is sized for real cooking: room to break down a chicken, or hold everything you've prepped without shoving it aside to make space.
All cutting boards have a juice groove on the cutting side.
Honest notes
- Solid wood, edge grain — not a glued-up patchwork of offcuts.
- Hand wash only, never the dishwasher, and never leave it standing wet.
- Re-oil when the surface starts looking dry. A few times a year with regular use.
- Every board is different. Yours won't match the photograph exactly, and that's the material behaving correctly.
- Engraved boards can't be returned for preference, only for a fault. We can't put your family's name on a board and sell it to someone else.

Care
Finished in Odie's Universal Oil — a food-safe hardwax oil with no petroleum solvents, no driers and no heavy metals. It bonds into the wood rather than sitting on top, so it can't peel or flake, and it's repairable in place: re-oil the spot rather than stripping the whole board.
Made to order and shipped within ten business days, by hand, in New Braunfels, Texas.

I bought this for a 5th anniversary gift (traditional wood anniversary). Their first comments were 'It's really beautiful! The wood really pops!' They also told me it is 'very nice quality wood' with a 'smooth finish' that 'you can tell it's well made'. Their package arrived in just four days, including a Sunday. Ordering was an easy process; I had to check off that I had spelled everything correctly before I could submit the order and the names were clearly displayed for me to easily check them. Overall, the couple and I are super happy with the quality and beauty. I'm happy with the speed of delivery and the ordering process. I'm completely satisfied...definitely five stars!

I order 2 of these as bridal shower gifts for both of daughters. They are beautiful!! They came super fast, and were engraved perfectly! The packaging was so nice that all I have to do is wrap the outter box and it even came with a congrats card to go along with the gift! I have purchased similar board for wedding gifts in the last 4 months and they were no where near as beautiful as these two, and they were smaller and more expensive and just thrown I a bubble bag. I would highly recommend this business and will come back the next time I need this kind of gift!!
