It works as a bar table, as a prep surface you can get around from all sides, and as somewhere people end up leaning while someone else cooks.

Most tables taper the other way — narrow at the bottom, so the piece looks light. This one doesn’t. The four legs splay out as they drop, planted, and the table reads braced rather than balanced. It’s the table you picture in a chow hall: solid, and built to be eaten at every day by people who aren’t being careful.

Honest notes

Counter height needs counter stools, not dining chairs. Check your seat height before you order.

Taller means more leverage on the joints. It’s built for it, but it isn’t a table to sit on.

Give it two weeks before you’re rough with it. The oil finish takes fourteen days to cure — keep it dry and out of direct sun until then.

Oak takes stain and we offer four finishes. Maple and walnut are finished natural, because they’re better that way.

Specifications

Sizes

Small — 30″ W × 48″ L
Large — 35″ W × 60″ L

Height

44″ — counter height

Seats

6 small, 8 large, on stools

Wood

Maple, walnut, or oak in four finishes

Finish

Odie’s Universal Oil, or stain on oak

Weight

45 lb small, 65 lb large

Assembly

Required — Allen wrench included

Made in

New Braunfels, Texas

Made to order and shipped within ten business days, by hand, in New Braunfels, Texas.
